Welcome to Pulmonary Rehabilitation

“Pulmonary Rehabilitation is a comprehensive intervention based on a thorough patient assessment followed by patient-tailored therapies, which include, but are not limited to, exercise training, education and behaviour change, designed to improve the physical and psychological condition of people with chronic respiratory disease and to promote the long-term adherence to health enhancing behaviours.” [ATS and ERS, 2013]

Our Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program

The program is divided into five components, ensuring long term success for our chronic patients.

Who could benefit from Pulmonary Rehabilitation?

Most individuals enrolled in pulmonary rehabilitation have COPD (Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease). However, individuals with chronic respiratory diseases other than COPD experience similar symptom burden and activity limitation, and stand to benefit from the pulmonary rehabilitation intervention.

If you experience any of the following:

  • Shortness of breath while doing activities you use to be able to do
  • Constant coughing
  • Wheezing
  • Excess sputum production
  • Feeling like you can’t breathe
  • Not able to take a deep breath

If you have:

  • Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)
  • Interstitial Lung Disease
  • Cystic Fibrosis
  • Bronchiectasis
  • Neuromuscular Disease

  • Asthma
  • Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension
  • Lung Cancer
  • Lung Volume Reduction Surgery
  • Lung Transplantation

We are available for consultation, training and treatment Mondays to Fridays by appointment.
